"It's rare that a newly opened restaurant, still finding its feet, is worth recommending to others right away. The food at Vieux Port, however, is so good that it's worth trying soon rather than waiting. I was able to taste the jambalaya (smoky and lively), the red beans and rice (so satisfying!), and the etouffe (delightfully creamy); all three were not only excellent, but the best (and more or less the only) examples of those dishes I have had in Portland. I'll surely return for lunch, and I look forward to the place becoming more established."

The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Man do you get a lot of food. It's a great value. Give this place a try. You'll be very glad you did."

Stopped by for a little food the other day and it was delicious. Best I've had outside of New Orleans. The atmosphere welcoming, bright and fun, I'll be back!
